.Friends for Life Foundation, Inc. is organized exclusively for the purposes of charitable, religious, educational, and scientific endeavors. Its purpose is to support quality of life improvement for the disadvantaged, financially assist individuals and organizations in our community which enhance education, family, health, economic empowerment and the arts. Friends for Life Foundation, Inc. serves as the non-profit charitable arm of the Phi Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to aid in developing talented young Americans in pursuit of higher education we are pleased to announce the availability of our one-time non-renewable scholarship and book award.
The Bettye Lewis Maye Scholarship is available to female high school seniors. Applicants must meet all the eligibility requirements and deadlines to qualify. Eligibility for all scholarships requires that the applicant: − Be an African-American female resident of North Fulton County, Georgia, or a 2020 Strands of Elegance Cotillion Debutante residing outside North Fulton County, Georgia − Be a high school senior − Demonstrate leadership, school and community involvement − Have a B average (3.0 or higher) − Have a ACT score 20 or above − Have a SAT score 1090 or above A
The Aricka Amos Burrell Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship available to female and male students. Applicants must meet all the eligibility requirements and deadlines to qualify. The selection process will include an in-person panel interview. Scholarship awards must be applied toward tuition, educational equipment, fees and books. The recipient will be recognized at the annual Heart of Giving Luncheon on November 14, 2020. Eligibility for the scholarship requires that the applicant: • Must be a male or female resident of North Fulton County, Georgia or a Strands of Elegance Cotillion Debutante residing outside North Fulton County, Georgia • Is a high school senior with a B average or above • Demonstrates leadership, community involvement, and service
